Smart Management Packs (SMPs) are Jalasoft's solution to extend Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007(Ops Mgr 2007) capabilities to monitor network devices. These management packs contain specific processing rule groups, computer groups, processing rules, notification groups, status views, topology views, performance counters, alerts, and ready-to-use knowledge for monitoring and managing supported network devices and servers.
Jalasoft’s SMP for Cisco PIX Firewalls/ASA delivers enterprise-class operations management for Cisco PIX Firewall/ASA devices as proactive monitoring, alerting, trend analysis, comprehensive event management, and reporting in Ops Mgr 2007, with the capability to monitor single interfaces as an object, simplifying the monitoring of devices with distributed applications.
This management pack contains the ready-to-use knowledge for monitoring and managing Cisco PIX Firewalls/ASA. Thirty-five (35) predefined rules are provided with the SMP for Cisco PIX Firewalls/ASA in the form of management packs grouped in the following categories:
