For Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007
“Microsoft System Center Operations Manager on your BlackBerry!”
What do you do when you receive an email notification from Operations Manager 2007 on your BlackBerry? Do you head back to your office? Or do you use the web console? Now we have made all of this easier for you! With Xian Wings 2010 for Microsoft System Center Operations Manager 2007 you have a real client application on your BlackBerry, which gives you easy access to states, alerts, performance graphs, tasks and more.
Easy to use client interface
Just like in Operations Manager, in Xian Wings you have a states view where you can see those objects you defined to show up on your BlackBerry.
As in Operations Manager, you can check the alerts of a specific object or see all the alerts currently active. With an easy to set up filter you can limit the number of alerts forwarded to your mobile devices as to enhance usability.
In addition, you can view and change alert properties in real time just as you would from the Operations Manager console.
Besides States and Alerts you can also take a look at performance graphs. Simply select the object and the counters you want to view and Xian Wings 2010 will get the requested graph from the Operations Manager Server. A great way to see what happened on your server or network in the past days.In addition, you can view and change alert properties in real time just as you would from the Operations Manager console.
To be able to receive the most important events as they occur, Xian Wings offers the option to set subscriptions. This means that you define the objects whose events you want to be notified of immediately.
Once you have found the root cause of the problem, Xian Wings 2010 gives you the option to execute tasks, directly from the State View or the Alerts View. A click on the context button is enough to see a list of all available tasks for the specific object.
Easy to set up
Xian Wings is easy to implement. The only two procedures you need to follow are to first install the Xian Wings 2010 Server and, second, point your BlackBerry to this server in order to complete the client application installation. Then you are ready to start viewing Operations Manager 2007 data directly from your BlackBerry.
