Founder and CEO
Born in Cochabamba, Jorge always dreamed of making an impact in Bolivia and the world.
Jalasoft is the realization of that dream.
In his two decades with leading technology companies like NetIQ and Adobe Systems, Jorge was instrumental in the development of innovations like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop 3.5, Adobe Premiere 5.0, and NetIQ AppManager, currently the third largest IT platform in the world.
But the real story of Jorge’s success began after leaving his prosperous career in the U.S. to return to his roots in Cochabamba, Bolivia. It was here where his dream of building a legacy of engineering excellence and education finally took shape.
Jorge understood that in Bolivia it would be possible to grow exceptional engineers from the ground up. Unlike other areas of the world, Bolivia wasn’t a place rich with engineering resources—but Jorge knew it was ripe with potential.
Before long, Jorge had created the largest Engineering Training operation in the country. There, he helped foster many of the engineers that he would later offer careers at Jalasoft, which he founded in 2001.
Outside of Jalasoft, Jorge’s leadership, commitment, and philanthropic nature are being felt throughout Bolivia and around the world. A family man at heart, Jorge brings the same level of commitment to every member of Jala family and his two teenage children; another important part of his tremendous legacy.Go Back to Leadership
