Success Story: BMC Software
BMC Software puts the simplicity in IT operations.
And counts on Jalasoft for the quality.
BMC Software is a global leader in delivering practical, flexible solutions to help improve IT operations. The company’s flagship BMC FootPrints® software helps automate a wide variety of IT-related tasks with the highest level of quality.
Quality that Jalasoft has helped ensure since 2009.
“An extension of our own QA team.”
When BMC Software began expanding Footprints to meet the rising needs of IT organizations, they sought an effective QA solution that could ensure the product’s ongoing success. Several offshore service providers were interviewed, but Jalasoft was chosen because of a proven history with Quality Assurance.
Beginning with five offshore engineers, the team grew with the need. “Jalasoft quickly became an extension of our own QA team,” says Alan Salowe, Director of Product Development at BMC Software. “They already had built-in processes in place so there was very little ramp up. They worked hard to ensure a seamless integration.”
Quality and reliability. With sleeves rolled up.
BMC Software instantly valued Jalasoft’s proven experience and impressive adaptability. “Our software is very complex,” Salowe says. “But the Jalasoft engineers picked it up and learned it fast.”
He also notes two unique approaches Jalasoft takes in minimizing attrition and ensuring BMC Software always has the support they need. “Jalasoft puts “shadow engineers” on our job at no cost—so if any of our team members leave, there is instant backup to fill the gap. Plus, they offer a Project Manager with senior QA skills should we ever need additional support.”
“Jalasoft’s combination of process, reliability and incredible work ethic really sets them apart,” Salowe says. “They roll up their sleeves and get the job done.”
“Footprints is in a much better place today because of Jalasoft.”
The benefits of Jalasoft for BMC Software:
